The sacred ritual of Undial counting took place at Sree Maha Mariamman Temple, Butterworth. For the past two years, the PHEB Commissioners have been personally present throughout the counting process — a task that can take hours.

The Penang Hindu Endowments Board (PHEB), established under the Hindu Endowments Ordinance of 1906, for the term of 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026, held its first official meeting today following the recent appointments of new commissioners effective 1 August 2025. The Board comprises a total of 19 commissioners. The Board is pleased to announce that YB RSN Rayer, Jelutong has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board, while YB Senator Lingeshwaran R Arunasalam has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman. The Penang Hindu Endowments Board operates under the supervision of the Ministry of National Unity, and all audit reports are tabled in Parliament.
