In anticipation of a larger number of devotees for Thaipusam 2026, the Penang Hindu Endowments Board convened the Thaipusam Panthal Operators Meeting — the important first step in ensuring smooth, safe, and meaningful celebrations ahead.

The meeting was chaired by YB Rsn Rayer, and attended by Board Commissioners, representatives from MBPP’s Jabatan Pembangunan, PDRM, Hilltop Temple Management, Malaysia Hindhu Dharma Mamandram [Penang], and the Malaysia Hindu Sangam Penang State Council.
The Board extends its gratitude to all Panthal operators, temple representatives, and community members who attended and shared their input. Together, we begin the journey towards another successful and harmonious Thaipusam in Penang.

Appointment Ceremony of Temple Management Committee Chairpersons 2026 with Special Session with SPRM

The Penang Hindu Endowments Board proudly held the Appointment Ceremony for Chairpersons of Temple Management Committees under its administration on 5 October 2025 (Sunday) at SJK (T) Ramakrishna Hall, Penang.

The ceremony formally appointed the new chairpersons of various temple management committees and included the signing of the Corruption-Free Pledge — a key step in strengthening administrative structure and ensuring transparent and accountable governance across temples.

The event was attended by representatives from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), serving as strategic partners in promoting integrity and good governance.

A special dialogue session with SPRM was also held, focusing on the importance of integrity, responsibility, and corruption-free practices within temple management.

As the sacred journey of Navarathri came to a close, we marked Vijayadashami with the unveiling of our new chariot — a blessed day that reminds us of the eternal triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and wisdom over ignorance 🔥🌺💫

The atmosphere at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Queen Street, was filled with devotion and divine energy as devotees gathered in prayer, offering chants and seeking Amman’s blessings. With hearts united in faith, we prayed for her grace to bestow strength, courage, wisdom, and prosperity upon all 🌸🕉️

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to YB Lim Hui Ying 林慧英 (Deputy Finance Minister), YB RSN Rayer, Jelutong ( Chairman of PHEB ), YB Lingeshwaran R Arunasalam ( Deputy Chairman of PHEB ), together with Datuk Dhinagaran Jayabalan, Dr. Vishanthini, Madam Jagruti, Mr. Kumaran, and Mr. Krishnamoorthy for joining our Vijayadashami Chariot Procession.
